Your data stays yours.

When you upload photos or inventory data to StowFindSell, we process it using the OpenAI API to extract names, categories, and valuations. Zero percent of this data is used by OpenAI to train their foundational models.

Enterprise-grade privacy.

We utilize OpenAI's enterprise API endpoints. By default, API requests are subject to strict data retention policies: your inputs and outputs are securely deleted from their servers within 30 days and are isolated from public ChatGPT data.

How the SFS Concierge works

Our intelligent AI chat assistant relies on a technique called RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). It securely queries your private database in real-time on our servers, builds a custom prompt outlining your items and goals, and asks the AI to evaluate it. The AI does not memorize your inventory; it only analyzes the snapshot we feed it during that split-second interaction.

The specific AI models we use

Currently, StowFindSell leverages gpt-4o-mini for both visual processing (looking at photos to determine what an item is) and text generation (acting as the SFS Concierge assistant). This model provides the optimal balance of high-speed reasoning and strict security protocols.

Who can see your AI-processed data?

Only you and the individuals you explicitly invite to your Household (via alphanumeric Join Code) can view the output of the AI. Data is isolated using Row Level Security directly within the PostgreSQL database layer, meaning user A can never query user B's inventory, AI-generated or manual.
